We at the DHI, along with the Institute for the Humanities and the UIC University Library, are excited to invite you to our first spring workshop exploring the power of Omeka-S and its application for your project!

The last time Dr. Wingo came to UIC, she worked with a group of digital-curious faculty, staff, and students to teach them the basics of Omeka-S, an archival management platform. Wingo will review the basics of the Omeka platform, how it can be used to create community collections, and teach workshop participants how to develop exhibitions from the archival records. In the process, attendees will gain access to an Omeka-S sandbox space and have the opportunity to participate in an active digital humanities lab by curating their own mock exhibitions.
